A pervert who travelled 192 miles in the hope of having sex with a child in a Tyneside hotel has been jailed.
Sean Killian had send video and pictures of his private parts, requested school uniform snaps and told the 13-year-old he would “treat her like a Princess”.
The sleazy 46-year-old had no idea he was in fact talking to the two Newcastle men who are paedophile hunters Dark Justice.
A court heard Killian was already being watched after being snared in a similar way by undercover police.
But that didn’t stop him engaging in filthy chat on Whatsapp with what he thought was a child and arranging to meet her at a hotel in Gateshead.
Jailing him for two years at Newcastle Crown Court, Judge Amanda Rippon said: “You travelled to meet her. You booked a hotel room in Gateshead, which was 192 miles from where you lived.
“You travelled that distance in order to meet a girl.
“You had booked a room with a double bed and communicated that to her.
“You told her you would bring underwear for her to wear.
“When you arrived at the hotel, the police were waiting for you and you were arrested.
“I am entirely satisfied your intention was to meet a child and have sexual activity with that child.
“You believed you were chatting to a child, you did not know you were not.”
