Hong Kong student studying at a North East university has been spared jail after trying to meet two underage boys for sex

A Hong Kong university student has been spared jail after he was caught sending a string of sexual messages to what he thought was two underage boys he’d met online.


Cheuk Kiu Chan of Gateshead sent a string of sexualised messages to what he thought was underage boys on a gay chat app and WhatsApp.


But the 24-year-old was duped by Guardians Of The North and Dark Justice, he was caught by Guardians Of The North initially then he signed back up to the Gay Chat App and started conversing with what he thought was another underage boy which turned out to be a undercover Dark Justice decoy just over two weeks after been caught out by Guardians Of The North.

He invited the underage boys to his University Dorm in Trinity Square, Gateshead but was confronted, detained and handed over to police both times by the paedophile hunters.


He was given a 3 year community order, forced to sign the Sex Offenders Register for 5 years and was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 5 years.
