FAQ
Do you work for the Police?
Dark Justice does not work for or with the police in any way other than to report crime like any other member of the public, we do pass information to them about online sexual grooming, we do not get any advise nor do the police play a part in what we do.
The only time the police are aware of what we do is when we call them to inform them about a suspect who has turned up to meet a “child” following sexual grooming.
Can i report a suspect to Dark Justice?
For legal reasons with regards to the data protection act 2018 we do not accept any reports of crimes from members of the public nor do we accept any emails about individuals who might be committing crimes. We can however help you with information on who you can contact to get this matter dealt with correctly.
To date we have helped over 300 people make reports to the authorities all over the UK
If a child is in danger please call the police on 999 to report this!
Can i join Dark Justice?
Dark Justice is a two man only team with a team of dedicated image/voice decoys. the two men who run Dark Justice are both vetted and both DBS checked and have agreed that the team is fine how it is and we are not looking to expand our team.
Now we understand the motivation to want to go out and catch these people but it comes with risks and also a-lot of background work that many people never see.
Where can i report suspicious online activity?
There are a number of places you cane make reports online and many of these links are at the bottom of our website.
To make an online report of grooming you can contact your local police or reach out to CEOP.
If you are looking to report child abuse images you can anonymously and confidentially report:
- Child sexual abuse content
- Non-photographic child sexual abuse images
to the Internet Watch Foundation here: https://report.iwf.org.uk/
Do you live stream stings?
Dark Justice has never filmed a “sting” live for many reasons as we feel that live streaming such things is not why we do what we do and can cause massive effects on the justice system and could result in suspects to walking free with no charges.
We also respect the contempt of court laws as a live sting could be classed as breach of this law if the case was to go to a trial.
It could also be like a warning if the person been caught is part of a paedophile ring and other members of that ring see the live stream.
We have always followed our rules of conduct and one of our top rules is to never name a suspect until they have been to court and been handed a punishment by a judge.
We do however name suspect who have been given a punishment as we do understand the public have a right to know who these people are and feel that it is necessary for these people to be named for safe guarding of children but this should only be done once convicted.
You can find all our closed cases here: https://darkjustice.co.uk/closed-cases/ and all of our videos here: www.youtube.com/user/Dark1Justice
All of the data on our website complies with the Data protection act 2018 and is printed else where by many news outlets.
Would you work with other teams?
Dark Justice has worked with an other team in the past, but we need to know that the people we work with are fully DBS checked and agree to not disclose information about a suspect until convicted.
We feel that the more people involved in a single case creates a higher risk of a breach of our rules of conduct we set out back in 2014 when we started this.
Also note we don’t dislike any other team we just feel each team will have its own motives and rules of conduct so we must respect the way we have chosen to work.
Are Dark Justice accountable for their actions?
Sure, if we do something wrong for example brake the law then we are fully accountable and agree 100% if we do brake the law then we should be punished for doing so. no one is above the law.
We have spent hours and hours on researching the law and we always look at how we can do things in a better way.
Is it entrapment?
No nothing about what we do is entrapment, i know there is a lot of stories about such things but you have to look at it from a legal law point of view there is no such thing as close in law, you can’t be close to braking the law you can only follow it or brake it there isn’t a middle ground.
Headlines like “Close to entrapment” are used because it is what a criminal defence barrister will try argue.
It is like saying 1+1 is close to equaling 3 in law there is a line one side is fact one side is false.
Our decoy profiles are set up on social media websites and app’s and then we wait until people contact us they are told the persons age if they choose to continue the chat that is up to them no one is forcing them or entrapping them.
Do you have rules?
When we started this back in October 2014 we sat down for months before hand talked to legal experts and did about 6 months of legal research and set some foundation rules that are still used now, sure we have added more over the time but the main principles of how dark justice work are still the same today as they were in 2014.
why do you hide your identity?
The main reason for this is because were not doing this for fame we don’t want the stories to be Mr x did this we want the attention to be directed to the cause and what were fighting for.
We have been told by some pro child abuses that we will be killed one day for our actions and that adds to the pressure of keeping our identities hidden but this doesn’t scare us.
We have never been the type of people who want fame or money for what we do we simple seen a problem and said we MUST do something not to become some sort of famous super hero but for change to the system!
Did you win an high court judgment?
Yes Dark Justice were involved in the high court judgment and we won!!! this made history within the legal system and showed that the actions of our grous are legal and the methods of how we work was acceptable.
Now you may hear some other groups claim they won a high court judgement but this is false the judgment was based on our work and how we work no there groups was involved and everything they use this as an excuse it implements us in there wrong doing as a motivation to why they do what they do.
Will you ever stop?
No we will never give up fighting for what we think is right.
Does this come with its struggles?
Sure we have been doing this for a number of years now and both suffer from depression from the stuff we have seen and heard over this time but sadly the problem doesn’t take a time out so nor do we and the pain we are suffering we push back into the cause.
Its extreamly hard to open up about the horror stories and battles we deal with because of what we choose to fight against but we will continue giving up isn’t an option for us not while the system is failing so many children.
You are very professional why?
We feel that keeping all things professional helps us understand the problem better and by calling suspects “Sir” helps set a friendly level and you will find that the situation is controlled correctly and the suspect opens up more and 9 times out of 10 will admit to what they were going to do and understand there actions were wrong.
It also helps show the wider public were not thugs who simply do this for a kick we do this because we simply want change.
