26-year-old Bedlington man pleads guilty to child sex offence [Dark Justice case]

A 26-year-old male from Bedlington, Northumberland who we caught in July 2016 has pleaded guilty to ‘Attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity’.

He came to meet the 13-year-old “girl”, after grooming her over social media when he arrived he had alcohol in his possession to, which he intended to let the “girl” but was confronted by Dark Justice.

Fast forward a week and a bit and we receive a rather weird email from his solicitor informing us we’ve broke the law, as a criminal solicitor, she may not know UK media laws. We blurred his face, which many TV and tabloids do, as the saying going innocent until proven guilty, he is now guilty as he plead guilty but we do NOT intend naming him until he has been sentenced, even though we could name him now if we wanted.

Some of the emails sent from his solicitor:

After emails back and forth and seeing she wasn’t getting anywhere, we decided to call the police ourselves. We confirmed what we told her, yes we uploaded a picture but it’s blurred and no it’s not getting took down, after ringing the police ourselves, they confirmed they couldn’t tell us to take it down as we hadn’t broken any laws, which we already knew.

Note: If you do know this individual, do not name him publicly. We will name him once he has been sentenced.
